Job Description:

• Must be able to backup and recover an Oracle database in a variety of configurations (disk or tape archives, rman or cold backups).
• Must be able to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks (at any layer) on the server supporting the database. This includes identifying Sql performance issues.
• Must be able to configure and debug Oracle Server technologies and interact directly with development staff.
• Must understand and troubleshoot Oracle advanced features such as intermedia, partitioning, and all permutations of replication.
• Must understand Oracle RDBMS configurations on a variety of storage, including NetApp, Sun JBOD's, EMC Symmetric and Clariion.
• Must be proficient on Unix - Solaris / HP-UX / AIX ; power-user prowess.
• Experience with Oracle on Linux is a strong plus.

Requirements:

• 10 years experience supporting Oracle, with the capabilities of advanced troubleshooting skills are required.
• Two years of SqlServer administration is preferred. Experience with DB2 is a plus.
• Additionally, two years of SqlServer administration is preferred. Experience with DB2 is a plus.
